Application:

Shoot Management Assistant (Part-time)

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive assistant to coordinate photoshoots at Austockphoto.

This role involves managing the moving parts of each shoot — from sourcing talent through to shoot day logistics and post-shoot follow-up. Every shoot is different, so the role suits someone who is adaptable, resourceful and comfortable problem-solving in real time.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate photographers and models across multiple shoots
  • Source models via talent platforms, social media and direct outreach
  • Manage communication (primarily WhatsApp and phone)
  • Assist with shoot planning including briefs, locations, props and scheduling
  • Ensure required forms and releases are completed
  • Support on shoot days where required
  • Manage post-shoot tasks including photo sharing, invoicing and file handling
  • Maintain organisation across internal systems
  • Identify opportunities and initiate shoots

About you:

  • Experience in shoot management, events, production or similar
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Confident coordinating multiple people and moving parts
  • Comfortable working autonomously with a mix of admin and hands-on work
  • Basic understanding of Meta Ads (or willingness to learn)
  • Reliable, flexible and solutions-focused
  • Creatively inclined with an appreciation for Australian aesthetic and identity

Role details:

  • Approx. 6-8 hours per fortnight initially
  • Somewhat flexible hours
  • Mix of remote work, Middle Dural home office and on-location shoots
  • Opportunity to grow with the role
  • $35 + super per hour, we will require an invoice each month

There is also scope to help manage our Instagram account and content, including writing captions. If this is of interest, please share with us what relevant experience you have in your last answer below.

We sometimes use targeted Facebook posts to find talent who are local to where a shoot is being undertaken. You will likely be required to set up the ad, nominate spend, track the post and communicate with applicants through Meta.
